Hanscom caregiver receives national recognition

A caregiver at the Hanscom Child Development Center was recently selected as one of 50 child care teachers from across the country honored for their work, dedication and commitment to the children they care for. 

Young Nae Oxner, a lead teacher in Room 4 at the Child Development Center has been awarded a Terri Lynne Lokoff National Child Care Teacher Award. The award recognizes the critical role of child care teachers in providing quality early care and education, according to the Terri Lynne Lokoff Foundation Web site. 

The award is presented annually to child care teachers from across the country who among all of the applicants submitted stand out in their dedication and commitment to children. 

"This is well deserved recognition for a truly remarkable teacher," said Colleen Davis, Hanscom Child Development Center director. "The care, compassion and educational foundation that Young Nae provides to Hanscom children is outstanding. She has proven herself as a leader and mentor to other care givers at the center and we are proud of her accomplishments."
