On June 12, Hanscom Air Force Base will receive a tasking to deploy members to a particularly "hot" combat zone where "friendly" fire is a guarantee and the only ammunition authorized will be water guns and water grenades. The mission is to engage in a time-honored tradition with fellow brothers and sisters in arms at Hanscom's Combat Dining-In at the Aero Club hangar.

True to dining-in tradition, the event is open to military personnel, including active duty personnel, military retirees and members of the Guard and Reserve.

"This will be the premier event on Hanscom to celebrate our Air Force heritage," said Col. Dave Orr, 66th Air Base Wing commander. "I encourage every military member serving ESC to join us in experiencing the camaraderie, tradition and fun that is a part of our Air Force culture and history."

Uniforms can include any combination(ABUs, BDUs, Flight Suit) in addition to the event t-shirt that will serve as the entry ticket for the evening.
