Air Force Materiel Command has pronounced Hanscom's Airman and Family Readiness Center first-rate by any standard, a team that is second to none.

The A&FRC recently received the AFMC Outstanding Airman and Family Readiness Center of the Year award for 2008. The center has been named the best in AFMC since1999.

In addition to its AFMC success, Hanscom's A&FRC won Outstanding Airman and Family Readiness Center of the Year awards at the Air Force level in 2000 and 2007. The center also received the Greater Boston Federal Executive Board Outstanding Customer Service Team award for 2007.

The A&FRC's influence is far-reaching, and extends beyond newcomer orientations; assignment change, retirement and separation advice; self-improvement and relationship building classes and relocation and financial assistance.

"We are blessed to have an incredible, self-motivated team of helping professionals serving our community," said Dr. Sondra Albano, Airman and Family Readiness Flight chief. "I'm honored to work with them every day. With over 100 years of combined expertise, they truly are the best of the best."
