Steppin' out for Steak Night

Hanscom CFC wraps up, exceeds goal

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Hanscom's 2008 Combined Federal Campaign has concluded with the base exceeding its goal of raising $237,000 for this year's drive. All total the base raised more than $305,000 in support of CFC charities.

"This was a great Team Hanscom effort," said Capt. Kate Stowe, Hanscom CFC representative. "We are proud of everyone's efforts to reach out and help those charitable organizations supported by this campaign. We especially want to thank each of the Wing representatives for their work in reaching out to the workforce to ensure that we met our goal. Our thanks go out to each individual donor that contributed, making this year's campaign a success not only for the base but for each organization that will benefit from your kindness."

In the spirit of friendly competition the 554th Electronic Systems Wing led the other wings in raising 225 percent of their goal with a total of $18,151. The 66th Air Base Wing raised the highest total amount for charity with $56,114, which was 108 percent of their goal.
