Next month's Air Force Cyber Symposium II at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel and Trade Center in Marlborough, Mass., is now jam-packed with informative speeches by Air Force senior leaders, with the addition of Maj. Gen. John C. Koziol, commander of the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Agency.

The conference, set for June 17-19, already had a star-studded list of speakers and panelists who will take part in the symposium, including Air Force Secretary Michael W. Wynne and U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James E. Cartwright, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. But, when organizers had an opportunity to add General Koziol to the agenda, they moved quickly to find a slot for him.

"The types of challenges the Air Force is trying to address with the creation of Cyber Command are the very ones that threaten the integrity of network-centric C4ISR operations," said Bruce Hevey, director of the 653 Electronic Systems Wing. "General Koziol is keenly aware of this integral connection and will surely offer some interesting insights into how controlling cyberspace will allow us to dominate the C4ISR spectrum as well. He is a great addition to our already superb line up and just one more reason why, if you haven't signed up for the symposium yet, you should do so soon."

As the commander of the Air Force ISR Agency, General Koziol is responsible for providing multi-source intelligence products, applications, capabilities and resources, as well as information operations forces and expertise. In addition to his role as commander of the Air Force ISR Agency, the general also serves as commander of the Joint Information Operations Warfare Command at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

In addition to General Koziol, General Cartwright and Secretary Wynne, the symposium will feature ESC Commander Lt. Gen. Ted F. Bowlds, Defense Information Systems Agency Director Lt. Gen. Charles E. Croom Jr., 8th Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Robert J. Elder, Air Force Cyberspace Command (Provisional) Commander Maj. Gen. William T. Lord and Air Force Research Laboratory Commander Maj. Gen. Curtis M. Bedke. Also, Gen. C. Robert Kehler, commander of Air Force Space Command, will address the Paul Revere Chapter of the Air Force Association's annual Chief of Staff Scholarship Dinner June 18.

Registration for the conference, which is co-sponsored by Electronic Systems Center, Air Force Cyberspace Command (Provisional) and the Paul Revere Chapter of the Air Force Association, is filling up fast, according to event organizers. With less three weeks to go until the event, people still have an opportunity to sign up on line at www.paulrevereafa.org.

The entire Royal Plaza facility, including its 430 guest rooms, has been reserved for the symposium. Rooms are available for $104 plus taxes per night, which falls within the government per diem rate. Reservations can be made by calling the Royal Plaza at (508) 460-0700, and referencing "AFA Paul Revere." Information on a number of other hotels located nearby is also available on the AFA Web site.
