Gen. C. Robert Kehler, commander of Air Force Space Command, will address the Paul Revere Chapter of the Air Force Association's annual Chief of Staff Scholarship Dinner June 18th. The dinner will be held in concert with the second annual Air Force Cyberspace Symposium June 17 to 19 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel and Trade Center in Marlborough, Mass.

The symposium is being co-sponsored by Electronic Systems Center, Air Force Cyberspace Command (Provisional) and the Paul Revere Chapter.

General Kehler joins a star-studded list of speakers and panelists who will take part in the symposium, including Air Force Secretary Michael W. Wynne and U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James E. Cartwright, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

"We're exceptionally honored to have General Kehler as our featured speaker for the scholarship dinner, and as part of our symposium," said Paul Revere Chapter President Angela Dupont. "We know he'll offer some tremendous insights about the criticality of cyber operations and just how important they are within the space domain."
As commander of Air Force Space Command, General Kehler is responsible for development, acquisition and operation of the Air Force's space and missile systems. He oversees a global network of satellite command and control, communications, missile warning and launch facilities, and ensures the combat readiness of America's intercontinental ballistic missile force.

Industry attendees can purchase individual seats or tables for the scholarship dinner, and need not necessarily be registered to attend the symposium. Information can be obtained at http://www.paulrevereafa.org. The proceeds help provide the scholarship money that will be awarded to Hanscom community students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement.

"This year we plan to present $12,000 in scholarship money to some very deserving students," Ms. Dupont said.

In addition to General Kehler, General Cartwright and Secretary Wynne, the symposium will feature ESC Commander Lt. Gen. Ted F. Bowlds, Defense Information Systems Agency Director Lt. Gen. Charles E. Croom Jr., 8th Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Robert J. Elder, Air Force Cyberspace Command (Provisional) Commander Maj. Gen. William T. Lord and Air Force Research Laboratory Commander Maj. Gen. Curtis M. Bedke.

This is the second cooperative symposium to focus on the Air Force's efforts to develop offensive and defensive cyberspace capabilities. The first, hosted by the provisional Cyberspace Command, headquartered at Eighth Air Force, Barksdale Air Force Base, La., was held in November.

To register for the symposium, visit the AFA chapter's Web site. Cost for the symposium is $330 for both government and industry. Booth space registration for the symposium's technology exposition is also still available on-line at the chapter's web site, as well as sponsorship opportunities and registration for a June 17 golf tournament held in conjunction with the event.

The entire Royal Plaza facility, including its 430 guest rooms, has been reserved for the symposium. Rooms are available for $104 plus taxes per night, which falls within the government per diem rate. Reservations can be made by calling the Royal Plaza at (508) 460-0700, and referencing "AFA Paul Revere." Information on a number of other hotels located nearby is also available on the AFA Web site.
