HANSCOM AFB, Mass. -- Many Hanscom Base Library services are now available to its patrons online. The library's recent implementation of an online catalogue has made many library services, including viewing accounts, searching for materials and locating and renewing books available from any computer with internet access. 

To access the catalogue, patrons can go to www.hanscomservices.com and click on the Fitness and Leisure, Library and online catalogue links. 

From this page, patrons will be able to search for available books and articles, request library loan materials, and recommend books for library purchase, said Eve Peabody, senior library technician. However, to access personal account information and renew or reserve library materials via the online catalogue, an alternate ID and PIN number must be issued from the library. Patrons can ask a library staff member or call (781) 377-2177 to obtain an alternate ID and PIN number, she said. 

In addition to the online catalogue, patrons can also sign up for the new books e-mail list, Ms. Peabody said. To sign up for the list, send a request to hanscom.base.library@hanscom.af.mil.
