Since 1961, the Hanscom Spouses Club has offered scholarships to military dependent children and spouses. This is a merit-based program, which rewards students who demonstrate academic scholarship, community service, leadership, volunteerism, and a diversity of interests.
The Hanscom Spouses Club raised more than $28,500 this year from the Minuteman Thrift Shop and the Air Force Association Paul Revere Chapter #178.
HSC officials said that without these contributions, and the work by its members through the Thrift Shop and scholarship committee, the program would not be possible.
