HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Summer camps and volunteer opportunities for an upcoming base-wide celebration are among the highlights of the latest episode of Team Hanscom Today.

The episode is hosted by Capt. Sammantha Jones, a member of the Cyber and Networks Directorate.

“Believe it or not, Summer Bash is right around the corner,” said Jones. “Organizers are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success.”

The annual Summer Bash is scheduled June 13 at the Hanscom Chapel. Volunteers are needed to help with refreshments, children’s crafts, bounce houses, and more.

According to Jones, volunteers will rotate shifts so they can still enjoy the event. All volunteers will receive a 2025 Summer Bash t-shirt as a thank-you.

The episode also spotlighted summer camps available through the Hanscom Youth Center. Programs include paintball, theater, archery, and basketball.

“Be sure to call the Youth Center to register as space is limited,” said Jones.

More details are available at the FSS website.

Jones also highlighted the work of Platform One, the Department of Defense’s enterprise software delivery platform.

“Platform One is the DoD’s software delivery engine,” she said. “It empowers teams to build, deploy, and secure high-quality software quickly and efficiently.”

Since its launch in 2018, Platform One has supported Airmen innovators and program offices by streamlining development from concept to deployment, with a focus on security and compliance.
