HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- A new visitor center, pool updates, and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center acquisition awards are featured in the latest episode of Team Hanscom Today.
The episode is hosted by Capt. Bailey Lofaro, the new executive officer to the installation commander.
“I'm excited to be your guest host for this edition of Team Hanscom Today,” said Lofaro, who introduced several updates from around the installation.
First, Lofaro announced the official opening of the new Visitor Control Center, located at the Sartain Gate complex off Old Bedford Road.
The facility is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will remain closed on weekends and federal holidays.
“Operated by our outstanding Defenders, the new VCC provides streamlined access and improved customer service for guests entering Hanscom Air Force Base,” said Lofaro.
Lofaro also shared that the base pool is now open.
Offerings include adult swim, long course swim, and open swim sessions, though some services are currently limited due to staffing.
“If you or someone you know is looking for part-time work, the 66th Force Support Squadron is hiring,” he said.
The splash pad remains closed. Updates are available on the 66 FSS Facebook page.
The episode closed by recognizing three Hanscom AFB award winners. Capt. Robert Gray, Michelle Graham, and Tatiana Mullaney each received the Outstanding Department of the Air Force Services Acquisition Manager Award in their respective categories.
“Thank you for your excellence in acquisition management – you make Team Hanscom proud,” said Lofaro.
