HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Airmen promotions, acquisition awards and a fundraising campaign to support fellow Airmen and Guardians were all featured in the latest episode of Team Hanscom Today.

Master Sgt. Alexandra Counts, guest host for this episode, highlighted the Air Force Assistance Fund campaign, which allows members to support Airmen, Guardians and their families through four official charities.

“Every dollar makes a difference,” said Counts during the broadcast. “Together we can lift up members of our Air Force family in times of need.”

Contributions can be made online or through unit representatives. The campaign runs through June 30, with a local fundraising goal of $21,300.

The episode also celebrated Hanscom’s newest senior noncommissioned officers during a Master Sergeant Release Ceremony held at the Minuteman Commons.

“Selectees were honored in front of friends, family and base leadership,” said Counts. “The event celebrated this significant career milestone and the hard work, leadership and dedication it represents.”

In the acquisition field, Cyber and Networks Directorate’s Artificial Intelligence Team received the prestigious David Packard Excellence in Acquisition Award. The annual award honors Department of Defense acquisition programs that demonstrate innovation and excellence in delivering operational capabilities aligned with the National Defense Strategy.

Additionally, the Cyber and Networks Directorate’s Cloud One Factory team was recognized with the Flexibility in Acquisition Team Award, which highlights innovation in acquisition practices.

“Great job, HNI—you make Team Hanscom proud,” said Counts.
