HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- A promotion release ceremony, summer activities, and a spotlight on the 66th Force Support Squadron are featured in the latest episode of Team Hanscom Today.

Hosted by Staff Sgt. Rose O’Houlahan, 66 FSS, the episode opens with highlights from the July 10 promotion release ceremony at the Minuteman Commons, where base officials recognized more than 30 Hanscom-connected staff sergeants selected for promotion to technical sergeant.

O’Houlahan, who was among those selected, shared her excitement during the broadcast.

“I was honored to be among those selected,” said O’Houlahan. “Congratulations to all the new tech sergeant-selects!”

In addition to the ceremony, O’Houlahan encouraged viewers to watch for the weekly Public Affairs’ “What.To.Do.” email, which includes details and links to upcoming events in the local area.

“There are many summer, family-friendly activities available, such as the Bedford Summer Concert Series, Dungeons, Dungeons and More Dungeons at the Concord Library, and the Lexington Farmers Market,” she said.

Wrapping up the episode, O’Houlahan introduced the latest installment of Public Affairs’ “What.We.Do” series, spotlighting the diverse mission of the 66th Force Support Squadron. From issuing ID cards and supporting the Military Personnel Flight to managing Outdoor Recreation and the Child Development Center, the squadron plays a critical role in sustaining the installation’s operations and quality of life programs.

“Non-appropriated funds generated through customer services like equipment rentals and membership fees are reinvested into personnel, equipment upgrades, and service enhancements,” said O’Houlahan. “Some of our biggest community events are made possible because of these locally generated funds.”
