HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Department of the Air Force announces the availability of a draft Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for constructing and operating a Vehicle Maintenance and Integration Facility here.
The draft EA, prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, Council on Environmental Quality regulations and Department of the Air Force regulations implementing NEPA, evaluates the potential environmental impacts associated with constructing and operating a vehicle maintenance and integration facility for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory facilities and campus on Hanscom AFB, including the no action alternative.
Based on this analysis, the DAF has prepared a proposed FONSI. The DAF seeks public comments on the draft EA and draft FONSI and will consider all input received before reaching a final decision.
Copies of the draft EA and draft FONSI are available for download.
66th Civil Engineering Division officials recommend individuals without internet access visit a local library or town hall for assistance in downloading the documents. Requests for hard copies will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Public comments on the draft EA and draft FONSI will be accepted through Nov. 3, 2025, and should be emailed to james.maravelias.1@us.af.mil or mailed to the following address: Jim Maravelias, 66 ABG/CEIE, 120 Grenier Street, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-1910.
