HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Team Hanscom military and civilian Airmen have a new way to support the Air Force mission by volunteering for the Hanscom AFB Speaker’s Bureau.

The 66th Public Affairs office receives numerous requests throughout the year for Air Force affiliated volunteers to speak at ceremonies, organizational clubs and venues, and civic outreach events.

The Speaker’s Bureau program connects volunteers with interested audiences outside the fence line to foster understanding of the Air Force, the 66th Air Base Group and acquisition missions.

The program focuses on supporting community outreach activities in and around the base and the greater Boston region. It is a valuable resource for the public to learn more about the Air Force and the people responsible for its mission.

Speaking events may take place during and after the workday or on weekends. Volunteers have the flexibility to support speaking events that work best for them. No speaker will be assigned to an event without their approval. PA provides volunteers with event talking points and basic media training.

For more information contact PA at 66.ABG.PA.CMB@us.af.mil. To volunteer, complete the Hanscom AFB Speaker’s Bureau intake form.
