HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Department of the Air Force Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management hosted its quarterly virtual Engagement Day, here, Dec. 11, 2025.
The virtual session drew roughly 1,500 registered participants from across industry, reflecting broad interest in emerging opportunities tied to the DAF BATTLE NETWORK. Held in an unclassified format, the event provided an overview of PEO C3BM’s mission and highlighted pathways for collaboration to advance command and control capabilities. The agenda also included input from partner services to help broaden awareness of joint requirements and strengthen cross-service coordination.
“Achieving the most resilient command and control network for battle management means leveraging the best of the full U.S. defense innovation base,” said Col. George Dougherty, PEO C3BM Director of Innovation. “That includes established defense contractors, new defense partners with roots in our world-leading communications and networking industry, and small businesses.”
The Engagement Day series is designed to support transparency, strengthen communication with existing and emerging partners, and encourage two-way dialogue that informs the development of integrated defense solutions.
Looking ahead, PEO C3BM plans to continue routine touchpoints with industry, including the next quarterly Engagement Day in 2026, and the organization’s next in-person Industry Day. Industry-driven innovation plays a critical role in delivering a highly capable battle network and ensuring it continues to evolve with emerging technologies. This focus is why PEO C3BM places a strong emphasis on innovation and sustained engagement with industry partners, according to Dougherty.
“We’re working on additional events for Industry and Engagement Days,” he said. “This way we can work with more of you, so stay tuned for those. Many of the questions we could not answer in this forum we look forward to answering in the classified Industry Day session in 2026.”
Upcoming events will be shared through official PEO C3BM communication channels, such as LinkedIn and PEO C3BM’s official website. The Innovation team can be reached through the official website’s Front Door.
