Acquisition military deputy to speak at CSAF scholarship dinner

Lt. Gen. Arnold W. Bunch, Jr., military deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, will provide the keynote address at the Paul Revere Chapter of the Air Force Association's annual Chief of Staff Scholarship Dinner May 17 at the International Hotel and Golf Club in Bolton, Massachusetts.

In his current position, Bunch is responsible for research and development, test, production and modernization of Air Force programs worth more than $32 billion annually. He was commissioned in 1984 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and completed undergraduate pilot training in 1985. He completed operational assignments as an instructor, evaluator and aircraft commander for B-52 Stratofortresses. Following graduation from the Air Force Test Pilot School, General Bunch conducted developmental testing in the B-2 Spirit and B-52 and served as an instructor in each.

At the event, three CSAF scholarships will be presented in partnership with the Hanscom Spouses Club, to high school seniors or military spouses to help them pursue their higher educational goals. In addition, the AFA will present the Brian Sweeney and Col. Chuck Jones scholarships in tribute to two Hanscom AFB community members who died during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The AFA will also present two scholarships to Airmen in memory of Louis Emond, a longtime friend of the chapter.

The event begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Individual tickets for military and government attendees are $25. Industry tickets are $250. Registration is available through the chapter's website at http://www.paulrevereafa.org/csafdinner/.
