Hanscom's Combined Federal Campaign came to a close Nov. 20 with the base exceeding its goal, raising more than $153,000.

This year's campaign began Oct. 12, and the installation's goal was set at $150,000.

"This year's CFC campaign was a resounding success," said 2nd Lt. Jennifer Johnsen, who along with Tech. Sgt. Justin Morrison, was a CFC installation project officer. "Team Hanscom really rallied together and hosted many successful fundraisers."

The 66th Air Base Group, Battle Management and C3I and Networks Directorates as well as other organizations around the installation did an excellent job of supplementing the individual donations made by members of the workforce, she said.

Activities included breakfast fundraisers, an ice cream social, fun runs and other ways that members of the community came together to benefit CFC-eligible charities.

"CFC is the largest and most successful workplace-fundraising campaign," Johnsen said. "I'm happy to have had a part in the success of this year's campaign that will help those in need."

Although Hanscom's campaign officially came to a close on Nov. 20, the national CFC does not end until Dec. 15.

"If anyone would still like to donate, there is time to do so," said Johnsen. "Either visit www.easternmasscfc.org or get in touch with me and I will make sure the donations are sent."
