Education Fair scheduled June 26

The Hanscom Education and Training Center will host an Education Fair June 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Minuteman Commons.

The fair will offer attendees a single point of access to in-residence and distance learning programs currently available at local and national colleges and universities.

The following colleges, universities and other educational opportunities are scheduled to participate: American Military University, Bellevue University, Bentley University, Boston University, Cambridge College, Cape Cod Community College, East Coast Polytechnic Institute University, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Excelsior Academy, Links Program at Middlesex Community College-Adult Education Specialists, Middlesex Community College, National Aviation Academy, New England College, Niagara University, Park University, Southern New Hampshire University, Suffolk University, Thomas Edison University, University of Massachusetts-Boston, UMASS-Lowell and Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Also attending the Education Fair is Troops to Teachers, a Department of Defense program that assists eligible military personnel begin a new career in the teaching field.

Planning educational pursuits and defining education goals can be a difficult task, officials at the education center said. The Education Fair can help find a program to meet an individual's needs, assist if unsatisfied with a current education path or, if confused, provide advice on where to go for help.

The Education Fair is open to all active duty, Guard, Reserve, family members, government employees, contractors and anyone else who has base access.
