The 66th Force Support Squadron will host a free Health and Fitness Expo for the Hanscom community March 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fitness and Sports Center.

Various representatives from on- and off-base will showcase health and fitness information, as well as highlight products and services to enhance attendees' wellness.

"After a very long snowy winter, there are many stressors people are facing right now," said Steve Grant, Health and Fitness Expo event organizer. "Hopefully the expo will provide Hanscom employees and their families a way to stay healthy or get healthy and reduce stress."

Some area exhibitors that will be on hand throughout the expo include: Community Rowing, Marathon Coalition, Strongwater Farm and Bina Farm.

Base agencies participating include the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Civilian Health Promotion Services, Fitness and Sports Center, Military and Family Life Consultant, Outdoor Recreation, Patriot Golf Course and the Youth Center.

Defense Department civilians attending will have an opportunity to have a free blood pressure and cholesterol screening.

"We're really excited about all of the offerings at this year's event," said Orlagh Pawlyk, Civilian Health Promotion Services Health Promotion coordinator. "We hope the Hanscom community will come out and see what's available on base and in the surrounding area for them to live a healthier lifestyle."
