Football Frenzy at the Tavern

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. --  The 66th Force Support Squadron is entering its 20th year of Football Frenzy. For each of the last 19 years, the Tavern offers club members who participate in the Football Frenzy promotion chances to win a trip to regular season games and the Super Bowl.

Members need only to attend one Football Frenzy event at The Tavern and fill out an entry form to be registered to win.

"Football Frenzy is a members' reward program," said Bill Spencer, Air Force Food and Beverage Division chief. "There are many reasons to be a club member and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity like this is just one of them."

In addition to the NFL game trips, which only club members are eligible for, the club offers specials and local prize giveaways to all during Football Frenzy events, whether a member or not.

The promotion runs concurrently with the NFL season Sept. 4 through Feb. 1, 2015. In the first three drawings, members have a chance to win a trip to one of the following games: New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys Oct. 19; Cincinnati Bengals at New Orleans Saints Nov. 16; and Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals Dec. 21. Each winner is allowed to bring one guest to the game.

"These trips are so fantastic, even non-football fans are sure to enjoy them," said Spencer. "We do more than just give them entry into the game; we also provide airline tickets, a rental car and hotel accommodations."

Throughout Football Frenzy and the NFL season, participants can expect a party-type atmosphere at The Tavern. Doors open at noon every Sunday throughout the season.

It's a potluck so guests should bring their favorite football-themed dish, along with a listing of the ingredients..

During the football season, fans at Hanscom can win a prize, including NFL Sportulas, team logo collectible billiard balls and a $10 FSS gift card. Throughout September, the chance to win happens when those attending wear their favorite team's hat.

In the final drawing, conducted Jan. 15, members can win a trip to Super Bowl XLIX held Feb. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, Ariz.
