Tickets on sale for Combat Dining In Published Aug. 27, 2014 By 2nd Lt. Rosalie Yassine Combat Dining In Committee HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- All active duty, Guard, Reserve and retirees are invited to attend the Team Hanscom Combat Dining In Sept. 26 at the Aero Club Hangar. During the event, the Aero Club will be draped with camouflage netting, piles of sandbags and more. The event begins with check-in at the hangar entrance at 5 p.m. "Combat Dining In events are a time-honored military tradition. I hope as many Airmen as possible are able to attend," said Col. Michael A. Vogel, 66th Air Base Group Commander and guest speaker during the event. "Dining Ins provide an atmosphere of camaraderie, esprit de corps and social rapport, Hanscom's Combat Dining In promises this and more." Those planning to attend are encouraged to wear old Airman Battle Uniform pants as well as a commemorative Combat Dining In T-shirt attendees will receive as part of their admission. The event will officially get underway at 6:30 p.m. when Lt. Col. David Dunklee, 66th Air Base Group deputy commander, steps in as president of the mess. "This military-only event will allow Team Hanscom to come together to honor our military heritage and get to know one another better in a relaxed environment," said 1st Lt. Daniel Holder, Combat Dining In project officer. Event organizers are looking for volunteers to help set up and tear down. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact 2nd Lt. The cost to attend the event will be $15 for E-6 and below, $20 for E-7 and above and company grade officers. Tickets for field grade officers will be $25 and general officers will be $30.
