Veteran picnic scheduled

The Air Force Association’s Paul Revere Chapter will host a summer picnic for veterans July 26 at 11 a.m. Each year the chapter hosts a summer barbecue for veterans and their caretakers at the Veterans Community Care Center at 130 Marshall Road, Lowell, Mass. The Hanscom Sergeants Association will again participate in this event. Anyone interested in volunteering are encouraged to do so. Vacation Bible School

The Hanscom Chapel will host ecumenical Vacation Bible School July 31 to Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The cost to attend is free. Families interested in registering their children may do so at https://vbspro.events/p/77aac7. VBS organizers are also in need of volunteers. Anyone interested may register on the same website. Hanscom to host Heroes Homecoming
Hanscom personnel will welcome home service members who have returned home from deployment during the annual Hanscom Heroes Homecoming celebration July 27. Service members assigned to Hanscom who returned home from deployment in the past year are welcome to participate. For further information, call Bobby Jacques at 781-225-1333.

Toastmasters Club
The Hanscom Researchers Toastmasters Club meets every second, fourth and fifth Wednesday from noon and 1 p.m. at the Hanscom Federal Credit Union. Meetings are open to all individuals interested in becoming better public speakers. Members do not need to work on the base. For more information or to request a pass to get on base, contact Capt. Private organizations hold monthly meetings
Private organizations on base hold their monthly meetings the third Friday of each month at the Minuteman Commons. This month's scheduled meetings are April 21. Those interested in attending may do so at the following times: First Sergeants Council meets at 7:30 a.m., Chief's Group at 8:30 a.m., Air Force Sergeants Association at 10 a.m., Private Org Council lunch at 11:30 a.m., Patriot Enlisted Association at 1 p.m., Network 5/6 meets at 2 p.m. and Hanscom's Top Three meets at 3:30 p.m. For further information, call Master Sgt.
