ABG change of command set for Tuesday Published July 19, 2016 By Mark Wyatt 66th Air Base group Public Affairs HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- The Hanscom workforce is invited to attend a change of command ceremony at which Col. David R. Dunklee will relinquish command of the 66th Air Base Group to Col. Roman L. Hund July 26 at 9 a.m. in the Aero Club Hangar. Lt. Gen. John F. Thompson, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center commander, will preside over the ceremony. Prior to his arrival at Hanscom, Hund was the chief of the Mission Partner Engagement Office for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Fort Meade, Maryland. As chief, he provided customer engagement and outreach across all Defense Department and Interagency mission partner organizations. Among his numerous other assignments, Hund has served as a flight and squadron commander, chief of maintenance, staff/action officer on joint and major commands staffs and executive officer at the wing and major command level. In addition, the colonel has managed communications requirements for the Predator MQ-1 and MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle, associated operations centers and ground communication systems. He is a 2013 graduate of the Air War College and recently served two years on the Joint Staff as an action officer for Senior Leader Communications and Multinational Information Sharing. In Dunklee's next assignment, he will be the vice commander of the 75th Air Base Wing. Attendees must be in place by 8:45 a.m. Dress will be uniform of the day for military members. After the formal ceremony, Thompson and Hund will participate in a reception at the Minuteman Commons that is open to all.
