Tickets on sale for Combat Dining In

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. --  The Team Hanscom Combat Dining In will take place Sept. 16 on base for all active duty, Guard and Reserve personnel.

This year’s event will take place at the softball field near the Fitness Center. Organizers will transform the field with camouflage netting, piles of sandbags and more.

The guest speaker for this event is Maj. Gen. Dwyer Dennis, program executive officer for C3I and Networks Directorate.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to wear a modified Airman Battle Uniform, or service uniform equivalent, as well as unit morale t-shirts.

The event will officially get underway at 3 p.m. with a social hour and in processing, and festivities will commence at 4 p.m.

"This military-only event will allow Team Hanscom to come together to honor our military heritage and get to know one another better in a relaxed environment," said 1st Lt. Alayna Barnes, Combat Dining In committee member.

Event organizers are looking for volunteers to help set up and tear down. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Barnes at alayna.barnes@us.af.mil.

Tickets will be available through Sept. 2. The cost to attend the event will be $13 for E-4 and below, $17 for E-5 and E-6, $20 for E-7 and above and $23 for company grade officers. Tickets for field grade officers will be $26 and colonel and above will be $30.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible as there are limited tickets.
