MLK remembered
Timothy Martin, 66th Security Forces Squadron, reenacts the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “I Have a Dream” speech during an MLK birthday celebration at the base chapel Jan. 16. This year’s MLK observance focused on the theme “Remember! Celebrate! A Day of Service.” President Ronald Reagan signed a bill into law Nov. 2, 1983 at the White House declaring the third Monday in January each year as a federal holiday to honor King, which is around the time of his birthday, Jan. 15. The holiday was first observed Jan. 20, 1986. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jerry Saslav)
