National Disability Employment Awareness Month celebrates an inclusive workforce
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Col. Lester A. Weilacher, 66th Air Base Group commander, signs a proclamation recognizing October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month at Hanscom as Edward Simonds (standing), Joanne Jordan (left) and Thomas Fredericks gather around. The theme for this year’s NDEAM, “A Strong Workforce is an inclusive Workforce: What can You Do?,” honors the contributions of workers with disabilities and serves to inform the public that they represent a highly skilled talented pool that can help employers compete in today’s global economy.
