The search for a donated quilt at the Hearts apart event
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Master Sgt. Raymond Merring, Airman and Family Readiness Center, helps Joey DeNise, 3, choose a donated quilt made by Wrapped up in Sports during the Hearts Apart event at the A&FRC Jan. 19. Families of deployed military personnel receive the quilts by Wrapped up in Sports, who rally volunteer quilters to make and collect professional sports team-inspired quilts out of recycled sports apparel and team fabrics. The Hearts Apart program offers support and activities for families that have loved ones deployed. (U.S. Air Force photo by Mark Wyatt)
