Kids come to work
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Children construct spaghetti towers during the “Bring Your Kid to Work Day” held by Capabilities Integration (XR) office last week. During the day, children of XR employees were invited to come to work with their parents. Engineer Yakov Salzberg explained to the kids why the Air Force uses antenna towers and why they need to be tall, load-bearing and strong. Then David LeBlanc, another engineer, gave the kids uncooked spaghetti and a mini marshmallows and instructed them to build a tall tower that could hold a Peep marshmallow somewhere on the structure.
