MLK commemoration
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Chief Master Sgt. Kenneth Williams, Electronic Systems Center and 66th Air Base Wing command chief, and Master Sgt. Jamie Williams, 66th Medical Group first sergeant, speak at Hanscom's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Service, held Jan. 15 at the Base Chapel. During his speech, Chief Williams echoed the desire for increased unity and understanding among all Americans that Dr. King expressed in his "I Have a Dream" speech. "Keeping the spirit moving will redefine how Americans define 'we.' We must work diligently to instill the spirit of achievement, forgiveness and togetherness in our children," the chief said. "Let us join together to continue the hard but critical work of reconciliation and justice to build a multicultural America in which our notions of community and the people called 'we' expands to include everyone."
