Col. Robert Boyles (left), commander 66th Mission Support Group, and 1st Lt. Christie Jones, 642nd Electronic Systems Squadron and Hanscom troop care package drive coordinator, were on hand to assist in distributing the bags of coffee into the care packages. “Operation Cup of Joe” was started to provide deployed personnel with a taste of home. The organization also donated $2,000.00 to help with shipping costs for the care package drive. The troop care package drive was sponsored by the Company Grade Officers’ Council. Volunteers from all over the base supported the effort. More than 1,000 care packages were assembled and shipped to troops supporting the Global War on Terror.
