Bruins Street Hockey event
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Hanscom children enjoyed learning the fundamentals of street hockey during a clinic hosted by the Boston Bruins on Nov. 4 at the Hanscom Youth Center. The event was part of Hanscom’s Air Force Family week celebrations. Shown here Col. Charles Thompson, 66th Air Base Wing vice commander stands with Boston Bruins alumnus Tommy Songin, members of Operation Homefront and Hanscom children in front of the Year of the Air Force banner at the Youth Center gymnasium. Bruins staff led Hanscom children through a number of street hockey drills focusing on the fundamentals of play. The Bruins donated all of the street hockey equipment to Hanscom’s Youth Center so children could continue to enjoy the game. (U.S. Air Force photo by Walter Santos)
