Hanscom civilian deploys, meets General Petraeus
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Multi-National Force -- Iraq Commander Gen. David Petraeus shakes the hand of Contracting Officer Roger Nowicki. Mr. Nowicki, a civilian employee assigned to the 66th Contracting Squadron at Hanscom, volunteered for a year-long deployment to Southwest Asia. There he has processed numerous contracts including some to construct a Press Conference Center, which the general will use. The construction is one-and-a-half months ahead of schedule and $200,000 under budget. Mr. Nowicki is scheduled to return to Hanscom later this month.
