Fire Prevention Week

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Garrett McNulty from Room 1 at the Child Development Center, tries on a fire helmet during a visit to Center by members of the Hanscom Fire Department for Fire Prevention Week. The Fire Department hosted a number of educational events across the base throughout the week to educate the base community on the importance of fire safety. On Oct. 10, the Fire Department will hold a Fire Prevention Walk at Castle Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include several fire safety demonstrations, an amusement area for children and plenty of food and refreshments in addition to fire prevention giveaways and prizes. The entire Hanscom community is welcome to attend the free family event which is part of Hanscom’s Year of the Air Force Family celebrations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Rick Berry)
