85 APS deactivates

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. - Col. Dana S. Marsh, 622nd Regional Support Group commander, from Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., left, stands by as Staff Sgt. Richard Leger, of the 85th Aerial Port Squadron, holds the squadron’s guidon for other members of the 85 APS -- Senior Master Sgt. Joseph Barszcz, the oldest member of the squadron; Senior Airman Matthew Diperri, the youngest member; and Tech. Sgt. Richard Chartienitz, the Airman with the longest time in the unit at 29 years -- to furl it, symbolizing the squadron’s de-activation after nearly 50 years of service.
