Airman 1st Class Laura Kluga, Air Force Band of Liberty, performs as Distinguished Visitors arrive to Ellis Island in New York on May 12 to honor recipients of the Medals of Honor. The Ellis Island Medals of Honor are given annually by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations to recognize distinguished Americans of various ethnic origins for their outstanding contributions to the United States.?Among the honorees was Lt. Col. Larry Lang, Air Force Band of Liberty commander. The Band of Liberty Pops ensemble will perform July 1, at 6 and 7:30 p.m., in Stowe, Vt. at the Von Trapp Meadow. Afterburner, an alternative rock band, will perform June 1 at 3 p.m., June 2 at 3 and 6 p.m. and June 3 at noon in Essex Junction, Vt. at the Vermont Balloon and Music Festival. All events are subject to change and are free and open to the public.
