Joint Police Training
HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Senior Airmen Jonathan Melendez, 66th Security Forces Squadron, fires a Simunition round at Massachusetts State Police Trooper Dan O’Brian who was playing the role of a dangerous armed suspect who refused to respond to Airman Melendez’s orders. The scenario was part of the first Joint Police Training between Hanscom’s Security Forces and local law enforcement agencies. The training provided an opportunity for the SFS patrolmen and members of the Lexington, Mass. Police Department to train side by side, enhancing familiarization with each other’ procedures and tactics. (U.S. Air Force photo by Rick Berry)
