Bringing families together

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- Master Sgt. Donald Gonsalves, Airman and Family Readiness Center readiness coordinator, talks with siblings Emily and Jack Robinson, 8 and 4, respectively, during the Airman and Family Readiness Center's Back to School Hearts Apart party in the Base Library, Aug. 27. Hearts Apart events are specifically designed for families of deployed and extended-temporary duty servicemembers. The gatherings allow families to connect by participating in fun events and offer families a forum to discuss deployment-related concerns and issues.
