Re-energizing

A solar panel harnesses energy to power a Tactical Automated Security System at an undisclosed location within the U.S. Africa Command's area of responsibility. TASS is an intrusion detection system that was recently introdcted to the AFRICOM AOR. It is designed to provide 24/7 security to bases in high-threat environments that previously had little to no automated intrusion detection capability. (Photo by Jimmy Waller)
