Hanscom upgrades 'heart' of CRC
The Control and Reporting Center program office at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is working to upgrade the CRC Operations Module. The OM, shown in the photo illustration above, is often referred to as the "heart" of the system and provides a comprehensive air picture by integrating input from air- and ground-based radars. The upgrades will bring the OM up-to-date with current technology and make it more easily transportable by having all systems in one shelter. (Photo illustration by Frank Landry)
