'Dental Olympics' recognizes dental assistants

Tech. Sgt. Reginald Colas, 66th Medical Squadron dental technician, simulates a dental cleaning at the MDS Dental Clinic March 9. The simulation was part of ‘Dental Olympics’ that challenged technicians in a timed event to accurately scale a plastic mouthful of teeth, which were painted with whiteout to simulate tartar. The clinic held the Olympic-style event as a way for technicians to practice their skills while celebrating National Dental Assistant Appreciation Week. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jerry Saslav)
