Holocaust Remembrance Week

Terrance John Liberti, Jr., a legacy partner for the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Salem State University, tells the story of Holocaust Survivor Max Michelson as part of Holocaust Remembrance Week observances at the base chapel May 2. Michelson was a teenager living in Riga, Latvia, when the Nazi’s invaded and was the only member of his immediate family to survive the Holocaust. Liberti, who met with Michelson years ago, tells Michelson’s story so that people will not forget what happened as Holocaust survivors pass away. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jerry Saslav)
