Spreading the word on fire prevention

Lt. Casey Videtto, 66th Civil Engineering Division Fire Emergency Services fire prevention and life safety inspector, provides a pen to someone during Fire Prevention Week at Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., Oct. 7. National Fire Prevention Week is a week-long observance that takes place every year to raise awareness of the importance of fire safety and to encourage people to take action to protect themselves and their homes from fire. This year’s theme, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” promotes education, awareness and the importance of smoke alarms in homes. (U.S. Air Force photo by Jerry Saslav)
