Connecting with Hanscom

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. -- For those looking to stay abreast of news, events or even just basic information about Hanscom, the base offers many options.

“If you’re reading this in the base paper because you really like to read newspapers, that’s great,” said Chuck Paone, director of Public Affairs. “However, if you’d like to catch up on things digitally and aren’t sure where to look, we want to help.”

Among the tools the Public Affairs Office uses to keep people within and outside of the Hanscom community informed and connected are: the base website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and, as people have likely read and heard about over the past few months, the Hanscom Connect mobile app.

Many key government officials, at every level, industry partners and civic leaders follow Hanscom Air Force Base via several or all of these platforms. Many employees do, too, but many do not.

“If employees aren’t connecting with Hanscom via web, social media or other means by choice, that’s fine,” Paone said. “But if they lack awareness about these options, then that’s something we need to improve.”
