U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Concert Band
The Lexington Town Celebrations Committee is sponsoring a concert given by the United States Air Force Heritage of America Concert Band from Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Battin Hall in the Cary Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington. The concert is free and open to the public however, tickets are required. For tickets please go to: www.heritageofamericaband.ticketleap.com.


National Federation of Federal Employees meeting
The National Federation of Federal Employees, Local 1384, represents all S&E and professional employees at Hanscom. Monthly union meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. in the Burlington Room of the Hanscom Conference Center, Bldg. 1106. All bargaining unit employees are welcome. Lunch will be provided or employees can bring their own. National Association of Government Employees meeting
The National Association of Government Employees, or NAGE, quarterly meeting is scheduled at 11:45 a.m. April 22 at the Minuteman Commons, Heritage Room. NAGE Local R1-08 represents bargaining employees who are non-supervisory wage grade employees and non-supervisory, non-professional General Schedule employees serviced by the Central Civilian Personnel Office at Hanscom. All bargaining unit employees are invited to attend this informal meeting. For further information call the union office at 781-225-6644.


Bowling event
A "Strike Against Sexual Assault" bowling event will take place April 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hanscom Lanes. Food, competition and education will all be a part of the event for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. For further information, contact Andrea McKie at 781-225-6401, Jersouk Myers at 774-9474.


Air Force Academy night
The New England Association of Graduates of the Air Force Academy will host the 25th annual NEAOG Academy Night honoring new cadet candidates at the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Bedford Glen at 44 Middlesex Turnpike, in Bedford on May 1. Col. Carolyn A. Benyshek, U.S. Air Force Academy's director of admissions, is the scheduled guest speaker. A cash bar will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. The cost is $40 per person for 2002 through 2013 graduates and $50 for all others. The chapter will also hold a golf tournament hosted by NEAOG May 9 at Butter Brook Golf Course in Westford, Mass. Federal Employee Retirement Systems (FERS)
Registration is now open for the Greater Boston Federal Executive Board, or GBFEB, for a one-day FERS pre-retirement seminar May 29 at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. Consultant Steve Marder will provide a comprehensive overview of the retirement system and outline tools for calculating your retirement. To register, visit https://bostoncsrs2014.eventbrite.com.
