National Federation of Federal Employees meeting
The National Federation of Federal Employees, Local 1384, represents all S&E and professional employees at Hanscom. Monthly union meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. in the Burlington Room of the Hanscom Conference Center, Bldg. 1106. All bargaining unit employees are welcome. The next meeting is May 15. Lunch will be provided or employees can bring their own. Golf tournament
The Paul Revere Chapter of the Air Force Association will hold their annual Chief of Staff Scholarship Golf Outing May 30 at the Butterbrook Golf Course in Westford, Mass. Proceeds from the golf outing will go to the AFA scholarship fund, which provides scholarships for graduating high school seniors from military families, as well as to spouses of active duty military. HSC hail and farewell
The Hanscom Spouses Club will host its final monthly program for the 2012 - 2013 year. The HSC June Hail and Farewell Salute Brunch will be held May 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Minuteman Commons. The cost is free for all HSC members. At the meeting, HSC will say thank you to all who have supported the HSC this year. RSVP by May 24 via the HSC website at www.hanscomsc.org by selecting "reservations." Contact Dena Lane at 781-862-3474 with any questions. Free childcare will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be reserved when making reservations.

Boston Strong 5k
The Company Grade Officers Council and the Junior Force Council are co-sponsoring a Boston Strong 5k May 31 at 2:30 p.m. The run/walk is being held to raise funds for the Boston One Fund and those in the Hanscom community that were affected by the marathon bombings. Participants should arrive at the Hanscom Fitness Center at 2 p.m. and are asked to wear blue and yellow in support of the cause. There is no fee to participate; however donations will be accepted. Those who cannot participate but would like to
donate can do so at www.onefundboston.org. For more information, contact 1st Lt. Alisha Temples at alisha.temples@hanscom.af.mil.

Scholarship golf tournament
The Lexington-Concord Chapter of AFCEA will be sponsoring its annual Elmer J. Fuller Memorial Golf Tournament June 11 at the Marlboro Country Club in Marlboro, Mass. Cost for the event is $175 per person for industry participants, $75 per person for military and government civilians grades 0-4/GS-13 and above who are current AFCEA members. Military and Department of Defense civilians, 0-3/GS-12 and below is $60pp. Non-AFCEA members is $95 per person and includes a one-time one-year membership. Non-AFCEA members who qualify as Young AFCEANS, age 40 and below, will receive a new membership as part of the $60 registration fee. Entry fees cover expenses (greens fee, golf cart, dinner, door prizes, coffee and doughnuts) plus a contribution to the AFCEA Fellowship and ROTC Awards Programs.
