Supporting Military Children through School Transition
Register to attend the Supporting Military Children through School Transitions April 7-8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. The Military Child Education Coalition, a nonprofit organization addressing the educational needs of children in military families, presents the free training. The purpose of this course is to prepare education and installation professionals to recognize and address transition concerns that impact the mobile military child. This training is open to guidance professionals, school administration and other caring adults interested in learning more about the military child. This is the first time this training has been offered in Massachusetts and it offers an excellent opportunity to expand the base of informed sensitivity and support for military connected children. Seating is limited to 50 seats. Registration is open through www.militarychild.org. Click on training and search for the "Hanscom SMCST" training then follow the prompts. For further information, contact Laurel Wironen at 781-225-1482.

4-H Cloverbuds
The Cloverbuds will create DrawBots at the Hanscom Community Center April 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for children ages 5 to 7. DrawBots is an introduction into trigonometry, electronics, programming, physics, new media and more. 4-H is free for active duty and retired military children. New members are welcome.
