National Federation of Federal Employees meeting
The National Federation of Federal Employees, Local 1384, represents all S&E and professional employees at Hanscom. Monthly union meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. in the Burlington Room of the Hanscom Conference Center, Bldg. 1106. All bargaining unit employees are welcome. Lunch will be provided or employees can bring their own. Hanscom Chapel 'Connect'
The Hanscom community is invited to connect on base with other members of the community every Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Chapel Annex. Connect is a mid-week ministry at the chapel where community members can build relationships and discover their fit and purpose while studying God's word. Study groups are offered for children, adults and teens. This semester, parents are studying with their teens so that they can grow together. Dinner is provided and begins at 6 p.m. Breakout groups will meet immediately following the meal for all ages. Protestant Chapel Service
A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is scheduled Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. at the base chapel that will include a selection from our Bell Choir, Christmas Carols and a special Christmas message.
Catholic Chapel Service
The Holy Family Catholic Community Christmas schedule begins with the annual Children's Nativity Pageant Dec. 21 after Mass. A Christmas Eve Mass is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Dec. 24 and a Christmas Day Mass at 10:30 a.m.
4-H Cloverbuds Meeting
The 4-H Cloverbuds, for children 5 to 7 years old, is scheduled to meet Jan. 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hanscom Community Center. This month children will create a pillow they can enter into fair. At Cloverbuds meetings, children will learn science activities, participate in visual presentations, perform community service, attend field trips, workshops and the Middlesex County Fair. 4-H is free for active duty and retired military children. HSC Scholarship Applications
The Hanscom Spouses Club scholarship applications are now available on the HSC website at www.hanscomsc.org. HSC offers two different scholarships: one for graduating high school seniors and the other for spouses who are pursuing their first college degree. The scholarships are merit based and awarded to students who demonstrate scholarship, citizenship, leadership and diversity of interests. Anyone with questions regarding the HSC Scholarship Program may contact Kathy Dunklee at firstname.lastname@example.org. The application deadline is March 15.
