Chief Master Sergeant Daniel P. Anderson is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 66th Air Base Group, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. The 66th Air Base Group provides installation, regional, and readiness support for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, three Portfolio Acquisition Executive offices, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory, the Massachusetts National Guard Joint Force Headquarters, and numerous other tenant organizations. The Group also directly supports approximately 200 geographically separated units and 130,000 retired military personnel and beneficiaries living in the six-state New England and New York area.
Chief Anderson hails from Belmont, New Hampshire, and enlisted in the Air Force in November 2003. His background includes various duties as a Public Health Technician, Base Honor Guard Ceremonial Guardsman, Military Training Instructor, Additional Duty First Sergeant, Squadron Superintendent, and Group Senior Enlisted Leader. His assignments include tours in North Dakota, the United Kingdom, Texas, New Jersey, and Arizona.
Prior to his current assignment, Chief Anderson served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, 48th Medical Group, RAF Lakenheath, England, where he led U.S. Air Forces in Europe sole inpatient hospital. Additionally, he served as the 21st Senior Enlisted Leader of Air Force Basic Military Training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. In that role, he oversaw 608 Military Training Instructors and the orderly transition of 79,320 Airmen and Guardians into the Department of the Air Force. Chief Anderson has deployed with the 621st Contingency Response Group in support of Joint Task Force-Matthew as well as in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE and SPARTAN SHIELD.
