Brown Bag Lunch & Learn: Budgeting 102
The Military and Family Readiness Center will host this event April 17 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Community Support Center in building 1240. This lunch and learn will provide information on setting goals, how to track spending and how to complete a cost averaged budget. Officials will delve into resources to fill in gaps, discuss how to lower spending and how to manage debt.

Newcomer's In Processingand Hanscom AFB Connect Info Fair
The Military and Family Readiness Center will host this event April 23 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Community Support Center in building 1240. This event is mandatory for active duty Air Force and federal civilians employees new to Hanscom AFB. This class will include briefings essential to an assignment in Massachusetts. This event also includes an Info Fair of local organizations/agencies. A virtual attendance option is available to only personnel at geographically separated units or individuals with remote telework agreements. Spouses are welcome to attend.

The Military and Family Readiness Center will host this event April 24 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Community Support Center in building 1240. In this presentation, officials will discuss the different types of credit, how they affect the credit report, the three C’s to credit, history and new regulations,
Officials will also discuss how to read a credit report, the credit score itself and how to manage debt. This events is in partnership with Hanscom Federal Credit Union.

Boots to Business Workshop
The Military and Family Readiness Center will host this event on Monday and Tuesday, April 28-29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Support Center in building 1240. In this presentation, attendees learn how to start, manage, and finance your small business, including development of a business plan, legal considerations, and much more. Presented by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and their resource partners. Open to separating/retiring service members and their spouses.

In this presentation, officials will discuss 2025 Massachusetts Estate Planning Law. Topics include why have an estate plan; five essential documents; probate; wills and trusts; and estate tax planning for a family’s financial future.

Employee Assistance Program offers civilian employees services, support
The Employee Assistance Program is a free benefit for Air and Space Force civilian employees that offers a wide range of services to support and meet the various needs of employees and their families’ lives. The program, also known as EAP, is available for employees and their households to include spouses, children, parents and domestic partners. Learn more by visiting the link.
EFMP program support offered
The Exceptional Family Member Program provides non-clinical resources and referrals for exceptional family members. An exceptional family member must have an active duty service member in the household and a DEERS enrolled dependent/spouse who meet one or more of the following criteria’s: medical, mental health, assistive needs and or educational.
The EFMP family support coordinator assists EFMP families prepare for a change of station move, answer questions about respite care, provide assistance with schools or help families look for local resources. The coordinator is also available to assist military members of all branches of service including the National Guard, Reserve and federal civilians with all of their non-medical EFMP needs.
