HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The Air Force Employee Assistance Program recently relaunched services under a new phone number and website following a contract changeover last month.

The AF EAP, which provides civilian employees and their families with free, confidential resources and support to help manage everyday life challenges that may affect job performance and personal well-being, is now available at www.AFPC.af.mil/EAP and 866-580-9078.

Carolyn McCafferty, installation community support coordinator, said users must first register through the website before calling the number to access resources

“The program will provide the same services and access to care provided in the past with continued 24/7 access via telephone, website or in person,” said McCafferty.

Officials describe the program as the civilian equivalent of Military OneSource, designed to match employees, regardless of position or grade, with resources for issues such as work, relationships, family, health, finance or substance abuse.

“Life happens around us and sometimes we need to ask for help,” said Air Force Materiel Command Executive Director Patricia Young in an email to the command. “It’s a resource that will answer the phone when you’ve had a hard day or an event that knocks you down. They will listen and help.”

All Air Force civilian personnel, those in appropriated fund or non-appropriated fund positions, as well as Guard and Reserve members and their families are eligible to utilize program resources at no charge to the individuals or family. This also includes Army personnel that fall under an Air Force area of responsibility.
