Virtual ABG change of command planned

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Col. Chad Ellsworth will relinquish command of the 66th Air Base Group to Col. Katrina Stephens during a virtual change of command ceremony here June 24.

Lt. Gen. Robert McMurry, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center commander, will virtually preside over the ceremony from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Stephens was most recently the 78th Air Base Wing vice commander at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. She provided support to Robins’ mission partners, including a major command, an air logistics complex and three wings on the installation.

She is a career personnel officer, who has commanded twice and served in key staff positions at the headquarters and combatant command levels. Prior to her position at Robins AFB, she served as chief of the Transitions Division at the Air Force Personnel Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Stephens entered the Air Force in 1996 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and received her commission after completing her bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University.

Earlier in her career, Stephens served at Hanscom AFB as squadron section commander and executive officer for the 66th Air Base Wing.

Ellsworth will transfer to Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, to become commander of the 635th Supply Chain Operations Wing.
