HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Senior leaders have modified the 2020 trick-or-treating rules of engagement here in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Massachusetts guidance.
Base Halloween trick-or-treating will be held Saturday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 6 p.m., and is open to on base-families only.
“We appreciate the continued support and cooperation as we flex to make Halloween safe and fun for our community,” said Stephens.
Participants must adhere to only providing individually wrapped candy or bags lined up for families to grab and go while continuing to social distance. Candy can be placed at the end of a driveway or edge of a yard. Direct delivery of candy or treats to trick-or-treaters is prohibited.
Personnel preparing bags should wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after preparation, use hand sanitizer when coming into contact with frequently touched surfaces, and wash hands before eating candy or treats.
Participants should be in groups of six or less unless all are immediate family, and must maintain a distance of six feet from other groups. Face coverings are required for all participants.
Any personnel feeling ill or displaying potential COVID-19-related symptoms should stay home.
