HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – The First Sergeants Council here will host the 2nd annual 31-day run challenge for those who live or work on the installation.

“We want to motivate people to get back into their fitness routines and make health and wellness a priority again as we move into this new normal,” said Master Sgt. Blayne Ralston, organizer for the event.

The challenge will take place throughout May.

To participate in the challenge, personnel should contact Ralston to register, and log their miles run throughout the month. On June 1, participants can send a screenshot of total miles to Ralston.

First sergeants will present awards for the top three men, women and children under the age of 12.

Ralston encourages anyone interested to participate, especially military members.

“Any chance we can get our people outside and exercising is a great opportunity, especially while we prepare for our physical fitness assessments,” said Ralston.

Physical fitness assessments will resume for Airmen on July 1.
